What To Bring

All of the favourite ‘toys n stuff’ you would normally take on holiday to a quality beachside resort. It’s a good idea to write yourself a check list to make sure all of your favourite stuff is covered.

No Licence Needed

You do not require a licence to charter one of our cruisers. We brief you completely before you set out and are on hand to help you with all aspects of skippering during your time with us. Navigation in our area is visual (if you can see it, don’t run over it!). Each vessel is fully supplied with area charts and we are on call for 24 hour telephone contact.

Security Bond

A security bond of $2000 is to be lodged prior to departure, by way of credit card authority or other pre-arranged means.

  • If no damage, loss of equipment or incident is reported to the operator, then the Security bond is released.
  • If some damage or loss occurs, the costs for the damage up to the Security Bond is deducted, and the balance refunded or returned.

Deposits, Cancellations and Payments

  • We require a $500 deposit to confirm your booking. The balance of full charter cost is required 60 days before departure.
  • A fee to 20% of the full charter cost is forfeited if a booking is cancelled. We will endeavour to re-book the vessel and, if successful, we will refund your cancellation fee less a $250 outlays fee.
  • Payment can be made by Bank Deposit, Cheque, Cash or Visa/Mastercard (2.5% credit card fee applies).

Operational Service Fee (Based on Engine Hours)

Our boats are full of water, fuel, tender fuel, gas, linen, and other such consumables. Use of these consumable are included in the charter fee. However, there is an Operational Service Fee based on the engine hours used during charter. Upon your return, we check the engine hours used and issue you an invoice for the operational service fee.

As a guide, allow around 2 engine hours per day in order to keep boat systems (hot water, battery charging etc.) operational. Obviously, this will depend on your use of these boat systems.

  • Catamarans – Twin engine system, $27.50 per average engine hour ($13.75 each engine)
  • Motor Cruisers – Twin engine system $40.0 per average engine hour ($20 each engine)

Travel Insurance

In the unlikely event that you need to cancel your booking, your booking fee is non-refundable. You may also wish to consider holiday or travel insurance.
